Risks and limits
NoirWire is a non-custodial wallet, so you carry the risks of holding your own keys, of the trackers you buy and of the services the app relies on. You can lose money, and nobody can reverse a transaction or restore a lost recovery phrase for you.
Tracker and issuer terms
Trackers are xStocks tracker certificates issued by a third party. They are not company or fund shares and carry no voting rights.
The issuer can freeze or move them, sets its own terms and redemption rules, and restricts or prohibits them in some countries. Check the issuer's terms and your local rules before you fund a portfolio.
A tracker's price can differ from the price of what it tracks, and it can fall.
Visible activity and provider access
Trades, amounts, holdings and timing are public on Solana. Separate portfolios avoid a direct public link to your funding wallet; they do not conceal what a portfolio does.
MagicBlock handles both addresses of a private transfer, inside sealed hardware, and checks transfers against sanctions lists. NoirWire's server relays every request, so your IP and addresses pass through it in transit. It is run to store and log none of them, and you cannot check that from outside. A fiat on-ramp can know who funded your first address.
Wallet and transaction risks
Only your recovery phrase restores a wallet. NoirWire never receives it, so it cannot recover it, reset your password or move your funds.
The software has not been audited. Start with an amount you can afford to lose.
Transactions on Solana are final. USDC or a tracker sent to a wrong address cannot be returned.
Earn and availability
Earn lends USDC through Jupiter Lend. The rate is variable, the funds carry the lending program's smart-contract risk and are not insured, and withdrawals can be delayed when the pool is heavily borrowed.
NoirWire depends on Solana, Jupiter, MagicBlock and its own fee relayer. When one of them is unavailable an action may not be possible for a while. The app says so, and nothing is charged for an action that did not happen.
