How does NoirWire separate my portfolios?

Each portfolio is its own Solana address, made from your recovery phrase and not linked on chain to your funding wallet or to your other portfolios. USDC reaches a portfolio through a private route, so there is no direct public transfer between the two, while trades, amounts, holdings and timing stay public.

What a public wallet reveals

A Solana address shows its balances, its tokens and its whole history to anyone who looks. Once someone knows an address is yours, they can read everything you hold in it. Try the reader with any address to see that view.

What anyone can already read

Paste a Solana address. This reads it the way a stranger does.

Nothing read yet. Paste an address above, including your own, and see it the way the rest of the chain does.

The lookup reads public data straight from the Solana network. NoirWire does not store the address you enter.

Create and fund a portfolio

Create a portfolio in the app and it gets an address of its own. Send USDC on Solana to your funding wallet, then move it into the portfolio through the private route, which MagicBlock runs. Solana shows no direct transfer from your funding wallet to the portfolio.

The route costs 0.1% plus a flat 0.20 USDC, charged by MagicBlock, and you need no SOL to use it.

What remains visible

Every trade is public on Solana, with its amount and its time. Anyone who has a portfolio's address can read what it holds.

A portfolio that pays its network costs through NoirWire's relayer can be recognised as a NoirWire portfolio. Amounts and timing can also hint at which funding transfer belongs to which portfolio.

Who can see the funding route

The route removes the public link between your funding wallet and your portfolio. Here is exactly what each service that carries it can and cannot see.

MagicBlock
Your transfer runs inside sealed hardware (Intel TDX). MagicBlock calls it "a hardware-secured space that prevents interference, even by the machine it's running on", and no direct transfer on Solana ever joins your funding wallet to your portfolio. It is built to break that public link, not to be an anonymity service: the transfer names both addresses to MagicBlock, which checks transfers against sanctions lists. In its own words, "Privacy here reduces linkability, not total observability."
NoirWire's server
Relays every request, so MagicBlock, Jupiter and the Solana data provider do not see your IP. Your IP and addresses pass through it in transit, and it is run to store and log none of them.
Jupiter
Sees the portfolio that trades or lends, not your funding wallet.
The Solana data provider
Sees each address it is asked about and every transaction sent.
A fiat on-ramp
Can still know who funded your first address.

Your labels, recovered with your phrase

In testing

Switched on in the app and kept on Solana's test network while it is tested. A test network can be reset, so the copy on your device is the one that counts.

Portfolio names and icons, archived portfolios, pies and your watchlist all follow your recovery phrase. Restore the twelve words on a new phone or browser and they come back, with web and phone showing the same thing.

Each label is encrypted on your device before it leaves it. NoirWire keeps the result as one small encrypted record in the private route MagicBlock runs on Solana, readable only with a key made from your recovery phrase. That key is separate from your wallet and from every portfolio, so the record is not tied to any of your addresses. NoirWire's servers and Solana itself only ever hold that encrypted record.

Your device keeps its own copy and treats it as the real one, so the wallet works as before if the record is ever unreachable. It costs nothing to use and needs no SOL.

What it keeps
Portfolio names and icons, archived portfolios, pies and your watchlist.
What it never keeps
No balances, no holdings, no activity and no addresses.

The code that encrypts and recovers a label is public, at Noirwire/profile-noirwire.
